Our Story

Nestled in the heart of Simsbury, Connecticut, Almiga Design is the shared dream of Ben and Melissa — two makers who believe the best gifts are the ones that tell a story. What started at a kitchen table with a single laser engraver and a handful of ideas has grown into a small studio where every piece is designed, engraved, and finished by hand.

Ben brings the precision — the engineer's eye for clean lines, perfect alignment, and details you can feel under your fingertips. Melissa brings the vision — an intuitive sense for design, color, and the little touches that turn something nice into something someone never wants to put down. Together, they make things that people hold onto.

Every tumbler, sign, and wine glass that leaves their workshop carries a bit of that partnership: creativity tempered by craftsmanship, warmth balanced with attention to detail. They don't do mass production and they never will. If your name is on it, their hands made it.
